Fort Point’s first park, a 6000 square foot greenspace at the corner of A Street and Wormwood Street is midway through its final construction phase.
The park landscaping was designed in a collaboration with the Central Artery/Tunnel Project, area residents, business owners, and property owner USPS.
As seen below, the park entrance will be adorned by two stone lions, once framing the entrance of a historic building that stood adjacent to the park site. This building, often referred by Fort Point residents as “House of Bianchi” — the name of a wedding dress company that leased space there — was demolished for construction of the Central Artery I-90 tunnel.
