Boston Edison's recent proposal to construct a 21-story office or hotel tower at the edge of the Fort Point Channel, between Congress Street and New Northern Avenue has been put on hold by Jan Reitsma, State Secretary of Environmental Affairs.
Reitsma, replacing former Secretary Trudy Coxe in the Executive Office of Environmental Affairs (EOEA), has recognized the need for the Municipal Harbor Plan (in progress) to be approved before waterside projects along the Fort Point Channel can move forward.
